Algebra 1
Algebra 1 is where math turns from arithmetic into reasoning. We make variables feel natural, show why the rules work, and practice until solving an equation feels routine.

Algebra 1
- Rate
- $40 to $80 per hour
- How sessions work
- OnlineIn person
The exact rate depends on the level and the arrangement.
What we cover
- Expressions, variables and order of operations
- Solving linear equations and inequalities
- Graphing lines, slope and intercepts
- Systems of equations
- Functions and how to read them
- Exponents and polynomials
- Factoring
- An introduction to quadratics
Who it is for
Middle and high school students taking Algebra 1, students who need to rebuild their foundation before Algebra 2, and adults returning to math.
What students walk away with
- A clear method for solving any linear equation
- Confidence reading and drawing graphs
- A foundation ready for Geometry and Algebra 2
How sessions work
Every session is one hour, one-on-one, and follows your class, your homework and your goals. We review what is coming up, work through it together and leave you with practice that sticks.
- Online anywhere in the U.S.
- In person in Minneapolis by arrangement
